TRI (tm) means Theme Relevance Index. This refers the the TRI column within the Theme Zoom Analysis Screen. The TRI column displays the co-occurrence percentages of a keyword in relationship to its parent theme. Software Architect Sue Bell created the TRI (Theme Relevance Index) algorithm in 2006 with urging and support from Theme Zoom co-inventor Russell Wright. The invention of this co-occurrence formula made it possible to implement basic latent semantic indexing principles without downloading the entire Internet as a document.
